Second podium in a row for Luca Nierychlo at EMX65 in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands

On the really famous and special sandtrack of Valkenswaard Luca Nierychlo was able to ride a absolutely consistent weekend.

Saturday he finished the qualifying race in third position behind the two Dutch rides Kash van Hamond and Mike Pijnen. So he get third gate pick for the main races on sunday.

On sunday in warm up he had a good ride and tested some new lines to search the missing time to the leaders laptime. Later this day the 65cc boys get to the start gate for the first heat european championship 65cc.

Start was not really good, Luca was around 20th place but was able to make a lot of passes in the first lap. So he was on sixth position and his riding was very well. After some laps he could work forward to second place and started to close the gap to the british leader Cohen Jagielski. But in the last lap he get problems with backmarkers and lost a lot of time. But a very good second place finish for the ten year old boy from Germany.

Second moto a better start, Luca was directly riding on third place behind the leaders. They both pulled a bit away and make a gap in front of Luca. During the race Luca was riding in a solid third place with consistent lap times. In the end of the second heat second place rider Kash van Hamond made a mistake and crash, so Luca was able to pass him for second place and started pushing till the finish line. So Luca finished again in a strong second place for second overall.

Cohen Jagielski from Great Britain wins the overall with a very strong 1-1 performance on Sunday in front of Luca Nierychlo with a 2-2 result. Kash van Hamond was third overall with a 4-3 result in the heats.

Luca Nierychlo is still leading the championship in the emx65 central europe zone.

Finale race oft he zone is on 18./19. May at Reutlingen in Germany.
