Race report MSR Kassel / Spessart

Superb one-day victory for Luca in the 65cc class

On 14 May 2022, the third event of the MSR Championship took place at MSC Kassel / Spessart.One of the most beautiful natural tracks in Germany was waiting for the kids, and we were also very much looking forward to the great track.

I was already doing very well in free practice and was significantly faster than the rest of the field. The lap times in qualifying also showed this, I was around ten seconds faster per lap than the second-placed driver. This meant that pole position was always safe.

Before the first race, the track was watered and prepared so that we could race in ideal conditions. The start went perfectly, I turned into the first corner in the lead and immediately pulled away from the field. I extended my lead very confidently from lap to lap. When I crossed the finish line, I had a lead of one minute and twelve seconds on the time monitor. So all my tasks had been completed.

The aim for the second race was also to get off to a good start and extend my lead.This time I turned into the first corner in second place, but was able to take the lead in turn three and pull away from the field. 

Once again, I was able to maintain the lead without making any mistakes and also won the second race.

So victory on the day was assured. Despite missing a race, I’m in second place in the championship.
